Rare vanity dressing table designed by Gio Ponti for the rooms of the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Roma manufactured by Giordano Chiesa, 1964 two drawers ash, laminate, nickel-plated brass Measures: H 75.5 cm,(123 cm with the mirror) 95x 47 cm (with the drawer); top:95 x 45 cm Mirror: diam: 40 cm height:48cm very good condition Provenance: this item come directly from the original furniture of the Hotel PdP, copy of original invoice of the Parco dei principi Hotel is available on request sold with a copy of certificate of Lisa Licitra Ponti The Gallery owner, Lorenzo Ciompi acquired all the furnitures of Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome and Hotel Royal in Naples in 90'. Pieces of this forniture from the collection of Lorenzo Ciompi are in Triennale di Milano and in Design Museum of London most of the vanity desk sold in the main design galleries in the world and in the main International auction houses come from this collection. Lorenzo Ciompi is a donor of Triennale di Milano An identical vanity was sold in Wright Auction in Chicago in the IMPORTANT ITALIAN DESIGN auction in 06/23/2026 at $28.800.
