gorgeous large pedestal Carlo De Carli dining table, circa 1960 bentwood, veneer very good original patina sculptural foot. The wooden grain has an admirable expression with dark grains that defines the aesthetics of this table octagonal shaped tulip base Can fit up to 6 chairs around it Measures: diam: 128cm Height: 74, top: 3 cm Carlo de Carli was born in 1910 in Milan and became an important architect and designer in the 1940s and 1950s working with Gio Ponti. He became a keen exponent of Italian furniture bringing it to the international market. Together with Luigi Massoni he founded 'Il Mobile Italiano', one of the first platforms that promoted Italian industrial design
